For individuals & families

Your annuity, finally in plain English.

Bring us the contract you already own. We'll tell you what it costs in dollars, what it really guarantees, and whether it still fits your life. And we have nothing to sell you.

What you're paying

Every fee, in dollars

Insurance charges, rider fees, investment expenses and advisory fees, added up per year and over time.

What's guaranteed

How your riders really work

Your benefit base, roll-ups and step-ups, the death benefit, and what a withdrawal would do to each.

What your options are

Pros and cons in plain English. Often the answer is to keep what you have, and we'll explain why.

Example values; replace them with the figures from your statement or prospectus. Rider fees are often charged on a benefit base that can be larger than your account value, which makes the real dollar cost higher. Assumes a level balance and no growth.

Getting to your money

When can you leave without a penalty?

Surrender charges are the most common reason people feel stuck. Move the slider to see how a typical schedule works.

Most contracts let you take out a portion each year without a charge. Beyond that, the charge applies to the rest. It usually declines each year until it reaches zero.
